No challenge is too big.

I started my training for the NYC Marathon in early May 2012. I did not run, I just walked. My average pace was 17:40 minutes per mile. That means I would have finished the Marathon at 7 hrs and 42 minutes.

After working hard for 2 months I have dropped my pace to 13:24, which would make me finish the race at 5 hours and 51 minutes.

And I still got 4 months to go!!!!!

No challenge is too big. Just start out small and build.

Have a GREAT Tuesday!Image

Update….

Sorry for being away for so long. I had my kids this weekend and that is my #1 priority. So here is the rundown.

One of my biggest concerns was how I was going to be able to train the weekends that my son and daughter stay with m. The answer had come months ago from @JoseFidalgo1, and it materialized last Thursday. I got myself a treadmill as a Father’s day present. They were on sale @ Sears and I just went for it. So I have done several workouts right in front of my A/C to “simulate” colder weather, I say stimulate because I still sweat like a MOFO. But that is part of it.

So after my last post on June 8, I ran a three miler in the Hato Rey are, here is the info.

I also did a series of three milers (or a bit more) on my treadmill on the 9th, 10th, 12th and 14th. The links are a the usual spot, leave me a comment if you can’t find it.

I’m off to a busy day at work so I leave you guys to your pre-weekend activities!

Have a GREAT one!

Feel like I took a beating!

Well, lets go to be early today and rest up. I was hanging out with my 4 year old today in the shopping mall and I felt very weak, tired and feeling a bit of a sore throat to cap it off.  I guess its because its the first time I do two consecutive workouts of 3 miles.

I’m off to bed.  Later!
